About the tour

TOUR OVERVIEW

You don't just ride to Lower Mustang you feel every inch of it. From the lakeside of Pokhara, we roll out early and head straight into the wild. The roads shift fast tarmac turns to gravel, then into rocky climbs and river crossings. One moment you're in thick pine forests, the next you're riding through dry, open valleys with the wind slamming your helmet. We pass through villages like Tatopani, Marpha, Jomsom, and Kagbeni. Real places, where the mountains feel close and time slows down. By the time we reach Muktinath at 3,800m, you'll feel like you've crossed into another world. But it's not just about the main route. We take detours tracks that most skip. A trail to a hidden waterfall. A dusty road that leads to a ridgeline view. A stop in a local joint for yak soup or homemade apple brandy. This isn't a tour where you just follow the road. This is a ride you'll remember in your bones.

We had a FANTASTIC motorbike tour to Upper Mustang with Rohan. Look no further! I can't recommend Bullet Basecamp enough. We started our trip with a guide, and finished with a friend. Rohan is the man you want for your tour - whether you're looking for off-road trails, off-the-beaten track experiences, or cultural immersion. He is incredibly easy-going, patient, a skilled rider, and happy to enjoy the journey both on and off the bike. He has a deep knowledge of the trails from Pokhara to Lo Manthang - if you're looking for off-road, he's got you. We got more than we bargained for, including crossing the Kali Gandaki river. He was happy to take control of our bike for a couple of areas I didn't feel confident to cross. Our plan was primarily to see the cultural richness of Upper Mustang more than the off-road trails. Rohan was happy to translate at the various sights and Monasteries along the way. He connected with local people to provide us much information as he could. Above all, he was happy to be flexible. Our plans changed several times as we got further up the valley. Rohan was totally happy to roll with it, helping to organise our accommodation as needed. He also managed to negotiate better deals on some of our hotels and meals than the tourist we were being offered. In one case, we had been over-charged 7,000 rupees on a hotel bill in error. Not on Rohan's watch! I can't recommend Rohan enough. We brought our own Scram, but I know they have some great condition Royal Enfields in stock, and some solid deals on them when you are doing a tour.

An Unforgettable Motorcycle Journey Through Nepal I recently took a quick motorcycle journey from Pokhara to Lete, then on to Muktinath, Marpha, and back to Pokhara and it was truly one for the books! Though short, the trip was absolutely worthwhile and filled with breathtaking views and memorable experiences. The team was incredibly accommodating from start to finish, always making sure I was comfortable and enjoying every moment of the ride. They're not just skilled and professional riders they're beautiful souls who genuinely care. The whole journey felt like I was traveling with friends, not just with guides. If you want to explore Nepal from a fresh, unique perspective, especially these stunning regions, I can't recommend them enough. Get ready to be amazed and to leave with a full heart.

We organized a last minute 1 day ride for 3 riders with a guide with these guys and they were able to provide bikes, gear and 2 guides with 2 days notice. Ride itself was excellent mix of technical trails and paved roads and great scenery and adventure along the way. Very fun and friendly experience and would definitely recommend using them for your tour. I'll be back for sure.
